Hi, Am a friend of your daughter Issie in Chichester and have seen some of your paintings at her house. I love them! especially the cows. Are you planning any exhibitions in Chichester in the near future? It would be lovely to see some more close up. Would love to hear from you. Thanks

Dear Jane, I have seen and admired your cattle paintings over the last few years and now find myself in a position where I could possibly buy one. Do you have any available for sale at present?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Enjoyed viewing your web-site and taking a sneak at you work. Do you remember the Tiger Staircase? It remained in place until the building was finally demolished. A much loved and enjoyed piece of your work in a West Sussex school.

Forgive me for such a late response. You must be wondering whether I got your comment or not. I did, but the last few months have been unusually busy and I’ve neglected my site! We’re well and enjoying the lovely summer and I’m still painting and exhibition from time to time but also taken up with garden and family and friends. I’m hoping to come down to stay at Issy’s in Chichester maybe towards the end of September and it would be nice if I could catch up with some of the Michael Ayres crowd. I heard from Linda recently and said I hope to see some of you soon. Your family must be very grown up now – I’d love to hear all about them.
Hope you are happy and well and enjoying your freedom from the classroom. Fancy the Tiger mural surviving – I can’t remember it in detail but do remember we did one.
Love to you and Jane xx

Hi Jane, it was lovely to meet you today at Wenhaston with your paintings. The artist I was telling you about is Dutch and her website is CorryKooy.nl and there is an English video about pastel painting.

It was nice to meet you too and thank you so much for the information about Corry Kooy. I’ve just got your email and I shall enjoy looking her up later. I went along briefly to look at the exhibition last night and was very impressed with the standard of work. I felt all the artists were producing work which celebrated living in our lovely area, as indeed, did Harry Becker.
As we left the church we had the added pleasure of bumping into a very dear friend who we first met 30 years ago called Maggie Steed who has bought a cottage in Wenhaston. It was so wonderful to make contact as we hadn’t seen her for quite a while and are now in touch again.
Very Best Wishes
