- My attitude to the still life is influenced by the work of William Nicholson, Manet and the still life paintings done by the Dutch artists in the 17th century which gave a vivid impression of everyday reality. In the past few years I have been exploring this theme and shall continue to work on it in the future.

I love your work. The colours are beautifully rich and the composition so real I feel I could reach out and pick up a fig!!

This is a comment from one of your biggest fans and the owner of at least five of your wonderful paintings from Plums amongst Strawberries to Pink and Purple Penny..Your work is wonderful to look at and to enjoy around the house. I just wish I had a wall large enough for one of your cattle paintings, although one of your smaller cattle paintings has found its way to Australia. What a talent at your finger tips! I just love all of your art and look forward to your next exhibition and spending some more of my ” pennies” on your work. A good pun! Penny Wilson-Downe
